RAISED $6800 FOR THE
AUTISM RESOURCE CENTER
The 5th Annual Devens Charity Chili Cook-Off was another great success. This past Sunday, October 11th, over 500 people gathered on Devens Common to taste the spectacular chili that the nineteen local contestants served up. For the first time ever, there was a tie for the first place trophy. Congratulations to Pam & Butch Bisson (Booth 5) and Michael Harmon (Booth 16) for their first place win. The Bisson’s, on their third consecutive first place win, generously donated their winnings to The Autism Resource Center. Bill Brady from Sonoma Restaurant of Princeton (Booth 11) came in a very close 2nd place. Special thanks to all of the other vendors for their help, including: Shelley Lawless, Kim Ahola, Linda Griffin, Kevin Scott Brian Hanson, Brian Kendra Dumont , Richard Roper, Sal Buonacore, Carol Tierney, Mike Goody, Red Tail Golf Course (Mike), SpringHill Suites by Marriott (Mike Keoseian), Carli Civita, Laurie & KC Hayes, St. Bernards HS Girls Volleyball Team, Chef on Wheels (Michael Blood), and Trudies Treats (Judy Comeau).
All attendees enjoyed the days festivities including face painting, music and of course, the chili! All proceeds
from the event are being donated to The Autism Resource Center, Worcester. They are a wonderful
organization that helps families and neighbors deal with this overwhelming issue in our region.
Together we raised over $6800 for families and children affected by Autism.
Without the generous contributions of local businesses we could not have been so successful!
